U.S. News Media Group released its list of "U.S. News Top Doctors," which includes 11 physicians on the Medical Dental Staff of Lancaster General Hospital.
- Lancaster General Health's Heart Center - 2011
Recognized for excellence in cardiac care by HealthGrades, U.S. News, and USA Today, which noted our Heart Center ranked 3rd in the country for heart-failure readmissions, and 1st in Pennsylvania for heart attack readmissions.
- VPP Star - 2011
Lancaster General Hospital was recognized by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) with VPP (Voluntary Protection Programs) Star Status. This is the second time LGH received this designation which recognizes employers who have implemented effective safety and health management systems and maintain injury and illness rates below national Bureau of Labor Statistics averages for their respective industries.
- ENERGY STAR - 2010/11
ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy. Facilities, like Lancaster General Hospital, that have achieved Energy Star are known to be energy efficient and leave a smaller carbon footprint.

Presented to Lancaster General College of Nursing & Health Sciences by The Chronicle of Higher Education.
