Partnership Spotlight: Lancaster City

Each month Lancaster General Health highlights one of our valued partners. Together, we strengthen the health of our community in ways impossible to do alone.

During this National Bike Month, we recognize the City of Lancaster for all it does to improve access to safe streets and parks. The City’s Departments of Public Works work closely with the Lancaster Recreation Commission, a cooperative between the City of Lancaster, School District of Lancaster and Lancaster Township that provides neighborhood-based recreation programming and learning opportunities for all ages – with an emphasis on affordable programs for children – at schools, parks, playgrounds, and other indoor and outdoor facilities.  Read more...
