Supports the advancement of cancer care at the Cancer Institute, including research, patient care and education, community programs and services.
Cancer Patient Support Fund
This Fund provides a financial safety net for cancer patients and their families so they can focus on healing rather than the financial stress that may result from the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. This Fund ensures that cancer patients undergoing treatment at the Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute have access to resources to assist with daily living expenses, uncovered medical expenses, prescriptions, and transportation to treatment appointments.
Image Recovery Center® Fund
Provides oncology patients with access to a variety of products and services at the Image Recovery Center® to help patients wishing to restore their appearance and sense of well-being.
The James & Sally Saxton Chaplaincy Fellowship in Oncology Endowment
Provides support to provide comprehensive spiritual and emotional support to oncology patients and their families. Gifts will support the education and training of an advanced-practice fellowship in oncology.
Oncology Staff Education Fund
Provides resources for oncology staff to pursue additional education and training opportunities that serve to enhance patient care or broaden their oncology knowledgebase.
Survivorship & Supportive Services Endowment
Provides support to address the physical, spiritual and psychosocial needs of cancer patients from diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond. The goal of the program is to provide support, education and tools to empower cancer patients during their transition from treatment to everyday living.
Rita Bonchek Cancer Care Fund
Ensures that female cancer patients undergoing cancer treatment have access to items that are essential to helping them maintain a healthy self-image. This Fund provides support to women treated at the Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute to purchase wigs, hats, pressure garments and other personal care products to help them restore their appearance and sense of well-being.
We are also happy to talk to you about other giving opportunities, including memorial gifts and planned or deferred gifts that would leave a legacy at the Cancer Institute for generations to come.
