Increasing access for brain and spine patients

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Physicians welcomed its first neurosurgeons when Lancaster NeuroScience & Spine Associates (LNSA) joined the medical staff on Jan. 1, 2019. The practice, which specializes in caring for conditions that affect the spine, spinal cord, brain and nerves, will further strengthen LG Health Physicians’ diverse health care offerings for patients and ensures access to this critical specialty will grow and meet the expanding needs of our community. Register for the Fresh Express mobile pantry program on Jan. 25

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health has partnered with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and Community Action Partnerships to bring Fresh Express, a mobile food pantry filled with fresh produce and healthy food options, to Columbia, PA. Read more.
 

The NICU at Women & Babies Hospital ensures safe sleep one swaddle at a time

Patients who receive care in the Women & Babies Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) are small in size, but their needs are great. These tiny patients usually spend anywhere between 1 week to 4 months in the NICU. During this time, many parents begin to see the clinical staff as an extension of their own family, while also learning how to care for their new baby. Read more.


Free event: Farm and Family Safety Day on Feb. 2

Each year, Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health and Safe Kids Lancaster County host free Farm and Family Safety Days to help prevent and reduce the number of farm-related injuries. Read more.
