Advanced Practice Clerkship at LG Health
What are advanced practice providers?
Advanced practice providers (APPs) are licensed to practice in collaboration with physicians in those same specialties to meet the extensive needs of their specified population. APP's are fully qualified health care providers.
Patients who are seen by APP's report an extremely high level of satisfaction with the care they receive. APP's are involved in direct patient care, research, education and legislative activities to promote quality health care for all citizens.
Who is eligible?
To participate in a LGH Clinical Rotation, you must be enrolled in a master's-level program at an affiliate school. Please contact your clinical rotation coordinator at your school to inquire about placement and to determine if your school is currently affiliated with Lancaster General Health.
Why do this clerkship?
The clinical rotation allows advance practice staff to provide advance practice students opportunities to work in a multidisciplinary health-care team environment.
