Human Research Protection Program
Lancaster General Health endorses the philosophy that research projects can be meaningful and supportive to patient care. The Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) provides oversight of all research activities involving human subjects at LGHealth. The HRPP ensures that all human subject research conducted at LGHealth complies with federal and state laws and regulations and with ethical standards for human research. It also provides education and training of researchers and staff and outreach to the public. The HRPP strives for quality, effectiveness and efficiency in its oversight and for continual evaluation and improvement of the program. Key leadership for and functions of the LGHealth HRPP reside in the Office of Academic Affairs and the Research Institute.
If you have questions, would like to file a complaint or have a suggestion to offer regarding research at LG Health, please contact a representative of the HRPP at SM-HRPP@lghealth.org.
