Residency Program Director
Amanda Prusch received her Pharm.D. from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Following graduation, she completed a pharmacy practice residency program with York Hospital in York, PA. Dr. Prusch also achieved board certified pharmacotherapy specialist (BCPS) status.
Dr. Prusch is the Medication Safety Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Lancaster General Hospital. She began her career at Lancaster General Health in 2005 as a Clinical Pharmacist, where a portion of her time was dedicated to precepting and rounding with the Family Health Medical Residency team and contributing to the medication management for their patients. In her current position, Dr. Prusch is involved with many organization and departmental patient safety initiatives and committees as well as overseeing medication safety initiatives. She has a practice interest in anticoagulation and other high risk medication use, and also Chairs the Clinical Medication Safety Committees at LG Health. Her work resulted in a nationally recognized ASHP Best Practice Award in 2009, an ASHP Foundation Award Finalist for Excellence in Medication Use Safety in 2010, and the national Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) Cheers Award in 2010. Amanda also has been involved in various leadership roles, including the local PSHP South East Chapter President in 2009-2010 and in 2016-2017. Previously, Amanda served as the Assistant PGY-1 Residency Program Director from 2010-2012.
Amanda also serves as the primary preceptor for the Medication Safety, Orientation Part 1&2, Education & Professional Development learning experiences.
