The preliminary survey is in preparation for the unannounced triennial Joint Commission accreditation survey expected to occur in Summer 2015.

New Lebanon Health Center scheduled to open in late summer 2015

Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster (OAL) broke ground in late October on a new outpatient health center in Lebanon County, and LG Health will occupy 29,000 square feet of the new facility when it is completed in late summer 2015.

In order to avoid a potentially critical shortage of IV fluids, it is essential that the health care team reserve use to situations in which IV fluids are truly needed.

New requirements for Child-Abuse Mandated Reporting Law include expanded training
11/14/2014

When changes to the Child Protective Services Law (CPSL) take effect on Dec. 31, 2014, physicians (and a host of other providers such as physician assistants and nurse practitioners covered by the law) will notice expanded requirements for reporting child abuse, tighter licensure requirements related to child-abuse education, and increased penalties for those who do not report child abuse as required by the law.

Lorenzo Galindo, M.D., is enjoying dynamic atmosphere at LG Health

In October, Lorenzo Galindo, M.D., assumed the role as LG Health’s new medical director of Laboratories and chair of the Department of Pathology. He joined LG Health from Mercy Health System, which has four acute-care hospitals and other facilities in the Philadelphia area.

From birth to end of life: Dr. Diamantoni cares for all stages
11/14/2014

Dr. Stephen Diamantoni met with Progress Notes staff at the state-of-the-art Lancaster County Forensic Center to discuss his position as Lancaster County Coroner. It had been another busy weekend for him, with three automobile deaths and a homicide.  His day had started early, seeing patients at his practice at 6 a.m. and then over to his other job at the new forensic center for an autopsy of the homicide case.
