2/13/2012 – Welcome to the February issue of Progress Notes. This month we continue our series welcoming our new Department Chairs as they complete the approval process from the Board of Trustees.

In addition, we share a wide variety of new information, including a new technique for cardiac imaging, a new treatment modality for liver cancer as well as a new Pediatric subspecialist in Cardiology. Please also note the article regarding the new patient portal, MyLGHealth, which has been rapidly attracting many of our patients so they can learn about their test results in a more timely fashion. Electronic communication with our patients is on the way, so it pays to learn about this technology as it is growing.

We plan on continuing our series on work-life balance next month, and we look forward to any items you may share about your life outside the walls of LGH. We are all hoping for an early spring, no matter what the groundhog predicted.
