4/10/2012 – Medicare’s Recovery Audit Contractors (RACs) are looking at your in-office claims and are recouping reimbursement if they don’t like how your services have been coded. PA to run its own health exchange

CMS to withhold payments until Jan. 17 if doc fix fails
12/20/2011 – CMS has notified providers that the Agency is taking precautions in case Congress fails to pass a doc fix this year, telling providers that the agency will withhold payments in 2012 until Jan. 17 — for the first 10 business days of the year.  Read more


Schwartz Sends Super Committee Proposal To Reform Medicare Physician Payment Formula
11/16/2011 – Washington, D.C.—U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz sent the following letter today to the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction requesting consideration of a proposal that repeals the flawed Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) formula and sets out a clear path toward comprehensive reforms of Medicare payment and delivery systems.  Read more
