Comprehensive services in Chester County
The new Lancaster General Health Center in Parkesburg, Sadsbury Township, Chester County, will open on Wednesday, Oct. 16, bringing a wide range of healthcare services to one of the fastest growing areas in the region.
The 39,000-square-foot LG Health Center, located at 950 Octorara Trail (Route 10), just south of Route 30, will feature primary and specialty care, outpatient services and an urgent care, which will be open seven days a week with extended hours to treat patients for minor medical emergencies.
“Residents who live here and in the surrounding communities have expressed a need for more healthcare services that are close to where they live,” said Thomas E. Beeman, PhD, FACHE, CEO and President of Lancaster General Health. “This Health Center is fulfilling that need. Patients will be able to see physician specialists without having to travel a distance. If medical attention is needed for conditions that are not life-threatening, residents can come here to the Urgent Care rather than going to a hospital emergency department.”
The LG Health Center will offer outpatient lab testing, X-ray, digital mammography and MRI along with cardiac and pulmonary function testing, physical therapy, diabetes education and home sleep studies. Physician cardiology care will be provided by The Heart Group of LG Health, and OB/GYN and Women’s Health by LG Health Physicians Family & Maternity Medicine will begin in November. LG Health Physicians Parkesburg Family Medicine will open in winter 2014. Orthopedics and Neurosurgery consults will be offered in the near future.
As with other LG Health locations, patients visiting LG Health Center can access their test results and other medical information through MyLGHealth.org. Visit ChooseWellBeWell.org for more information about the LG Health Center, or call 1-888-LGH-INFO.
Arcadia Properties, LLC, Bethlehem, is developer of the $16 million project, which will be part of the planned Sadsbury Commons development, an 80-plus acre residential, commercial and retail complex.
