1/17/2012 – LG Health is in the early stages of developing an office building and parking garage at the former YMCA site between Queen and Prince streets, pending obtaining successful financing.
The offices would accommodate staff now located at the BURLE Business Park and in offices around LGH. The office building would be located along Queen Street; the garage at the corner of Prince and Frederick streets. If approved by city leaders, construction could begin this fall, with both structures opening by summer 2014. A thorough review of the financial cost and benefit of the office building and parking garage showed savings over the current practice of leasing office space and parking at BURLE and scattered downtown offices.
