We’re committed to helping women make smart choices about their health from adolescence into the child-bearing years and through menopause.
Wellness checks for women
At your regular wellness visit, we will perform exams and screenings specific to women’s health. Depending on your age, these may include a pelvic exam, a Pap test to check for cervical cancer and a clinical breast exam. We may also recommend other tests, such as a mammogram, screening for human papilloma virus (HPV) or a bone density scan.
We understand women’s special health needs
We pay close attention to issues that are more common in women, such as osteoarthritis and depression, and to those that present different symptoms in women, such as heart disease. We can provide the resources and information you need on these and other health issues so you can choose to live a healthy lifestyle.

We also offer access to Lancaster General Health’s free Smart Health for Women program, which provides women with online resources and other tools to live a healthier life, including the latest healthcare information, free members-only events and discounts to local businesses. You can also join the Women’s Health Community, where you can connect with other women, read blogs by LG Health professionals and share your stories.
