Biofeedback and Stress Management

Anxiety, chronic pain, headaches, high blood pressure, insomnia and irritable bowel syndrome are a few of the many conditions that may benefit by reducing your stress levels. You can learn a number of techniques and make lifestyle changes that can help you manage stress and reduce its negative impact on how you feel:

  • Biofeedback uses sensitive electrical equipment to help you become aware of your body’s reaction to stress, pain and relaxation.
  • Relaxation techniques can include deep breathing, meditation or prayer, and even hypnosis to help reduce muscle tension, lower heart rate and blood pressure, and ease pain.
  • Stress management involves making lifestyle changes that reduce stressors as well as learning to react differently to stressors.
