Our Services

Using the latest techniques in sports medicine, the doctors and staff at Sports Medicine help athletes of all ages and abilities address a wide range of injuries caused by acute trauma or overuse of muscles and joints.

  • Care for common sports injuries and conditions like bruises, broken bones, and foot, knee, hip, elbow and shoulder pain

  • Pre-participation sports physicals

  • Sports concussion assessment and management, including ImPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) to determine whether injured athletes are ready to return to play.

ImPACT is a scientifically validated computerized testing tool that provides objective information for assessing recovery following concussion, managing post-concussion symptoms, and determining readiness to return to sports participation, school and work. The ImPACT test measures symptoms, memory, processing speed, reaction time and other factors. We can use pre-play ImPACT testing to establish a baseline for athletes involved in high-risk, high-impact sports.

  • Tenex Health TX® technology
This advanced, minimally invasive procedure is used to treat chronic tendon pain. Using ultrasound imaging and requiring only a micro incision, damaged tissue is located, broken down, and safely removed.

  • Treatment of sports-inhibiting arthritis and bursitis

  • Carpal tunnel pain management

  • Nerve blocks and ultrasound-guided injections for muscle or join pain

  • Platelet rich plasma therapy
This advanced non-surgical technique for pain relief and healing uses platelets in your own blood to treat acute, chronic and long-term pain from osteoarthritis, as well as tendon, ligament and cartilage injuries. The state-of-the-art technology releases growth factors and stimulates repair. Learn more.

  • Integrative medicine, including dry needling for muscle pain. Dry needling involves inserting a dry needle, or one not containing medication, through the skin into muscle areas known as trigger points.  Learn more.

  • Nutritional consults to assure your diet is appropriately supporting your athletic endeavors; assistance with decisions regarding supplements

  • Our physicians have access to innovative technology that helps athletes rehab without bearing their full weight, reducing the strain and impact on recovering joints, bones, or muscles. The AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill is available at the Suburban Pavilion.
