Mindfulness provides powerful tools for coping and personal growth. This is a 12 session class offered for cancer survivors that will introduce the practice of mindfulness and mindful eating. Combining cognitive and nutrition science with ancient mindfulness techniques, participants will learn how to pay attention to their body's hunger and fullness cues, make nourishing choices and manage stress around eating. The tools learned will guide participants through breaking the chain of dieting and changing their relationship to food. Class offered by Stephanie Swavely RD, CSO, RYT registered dietitian and yoga instructor and trained in Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT).
