Symptom Management Clinic
The Symptom Management Clinic at the Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute is the first resource of its kind in the Lancaster area. Nurse practitioners at the clinic work closely with physicians on the care team to help patients manage any physical or emotional symptoms related to cancer or treatment side effects. These services can help reduce stress and provide an additional layer of support for patients during a difficult time.
Addressing an array of symptoms
Our services help patients manage symptoms that may develop due to their cancer or treatment such as chemotherapy, radiation or post-operative concerns. Symptoms may include:
-
Fatigue
-
Fevers

-
Rashes
-
Weakness
Services are designed to reduce the need for emergency room visits. If a hospital admission is necessary, patients can be admitted directly from the Institute.
