Risk Assessment & Genetic Testing

Reducing your risk

Research shows that people with certain risk factors are more likely to develop colorectal cancer. These include:

  • Being over the age over 50
  • Family history of colorectal cancer
  • Personal history of cancer
  • Poor diet (high in animal fat and low in calcium, folate and fiber)
  • Smoking
  • Ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease

Risk assessment and genetic testing

If you have a family history of colorectal or other types of cancer, you may benefit from our Cancer Risk Evaluation Program.
