Lung Cancer Surgery
Treatment plans for early-stage lung cancer often include surgical removal of the tumor. Working with your treatment team, our surgical oncologists determine what surgery is necessary and the safest approach.
Our lung cancer surgeons have performed an increasing number of lung cancer surgeries every year since 2005, serving as the major provider of surgical lung cancer care in Lancaster County.

Sleeve resection—removal of a piece of bronchus, or air passage, and reattachment of the lung to the remaining air passage
Lobectomy—removal of a lobe of the lung
Pneumonectomy—removal of an entire lung
