Weight Management Classes

If you are struggling to keep your weight under control, you are not alone. According to the most recent studies, 61% of adults over age 20 living in Lancaster County and 17% of youth in Pennsylvania are overweight or obese. Obesity is often linked to many serious medical conditions. A healthy weight loss program is more than a diet. It’s changing your lifestyle to live healthier. As with any major life change, your chances for long-term success increase when you have expert information and support at each step of your journey. Healthy Changes. Healthy You. - Weight Management for Adults

This is a 12 week comprehensive weight management/behavior change program taught by a Registered Dietitian. The purpose is to teach participants how to eat in a way to improve health, lower weight and also encourages increased physical activity. Weekly presentations will focus on different aspects of a healthy lifestyle and will help promote gradual changes in behaviors. Class participants will be assigned weekly readings from the “Beck Diet Solution Weight Loss Workbook” (provided as part of class materials) in order to learn strategies, new ways of thinking and acting to combat the struggles that many dieters face.

ADULT WEIGHT MANAGEMENT PROGRAM GRADUATES ONLY: A drop-in monthly support meeting where a registered dietitian shares recipes, trends and hosts opportunities for participant sharing and support. This group meets monthly and is welcome to graduates of L.E.A.R.N. and Healthy Changes. Healthy You. adult weight management programs.


MyHealthyWeight @ Work

This is an employee-only program designed for anyone who has already done a weight management class or who already has a strong knowledge base of how to eat healthy and is looking for ongoing support and accountability to help them reach a goal or maintain a healthy lifestyle. Each weekly session will be discussion based rather than lecture based. Topics that will be discussed will vary based on the wants/needs of the class. This program will be ongoing throughout the year in 8-10 week sessions. Participants may sign up for as many sessions as they would like.
