The team is particularly skilled in complex procedures such as implantation of ventricular assist devices, a "bridge" treatment for heart transplant or for long-term support (destination therapy). LG Health's Heart Center has received advanced certification in Ventricular Assist Devices for the Joint Commission as a Destination Therapy site.
