Trauma & Surgical Associates
Lancaster General Hospital is the only accredited Level II Trauma Center in Lancaster County, and has been for over two decades.
Patient care at the Trauma & Surgical Associates often begins before the patient arrives. While transporting the patient by ambulance, the pre-hospital providers will call the ED to alert the ED physician of the patient’s condition and vital signs. The ED physician will quickly activate a trauma response team that will be led by our in-house trauma surgeon.
From the ED and surgery, through recovery, discharge and follow-up visits at the trauma clinic, a dedicated trauma team cares for each patient, ensuring the highest quality treatment and a smooth transition through every stage of care.
