Allyson Simbeck's Story

Allyson, an avid photographer, was home on winter break from California University of Pennsylvania when she and her best friend decided to go out and take some pictures. Katelyn's Story

Katelyn Elliott was in a near-fatal car accident October 17, 2012. She was rushed to Lancaster General Hospital’s Trauma Center. The police contacted Katelyn’s family and they rushed to her side. A neurosurgeon was brought in, due to Katelyn’s traumatic brain injury. Read more...
 


Keri Erb's Story

On a hot, humid summer Monday in July 2009, Keri Erb, a 17-year-old high school senior, and her friends were enjoying one of the last days of their summer vacation by swimming at a remote spot on the Pequea Creek in Lancaster County. As Keri climbed a tree and reached for the rope to swing over the water, something went wrong - Keri fell 25 feet down the side of a gorge.  Read more...
 

Brian Zern's Story

Brian Zern, a construction superintendent, was at a job site in Lancaster County, when without warning, workers carrying an industrial-sized sheet of drywall 25 feet above him lost their grip. The drywall fell vertically, hitting Brian in his left shoulder and knocking him to the ground with the impact of 800 pounds.  Read more...

 

Paul Rossi’s Story

Paul Rossi was guiding a “victim” down a ladder when he missed a rung and fell more than 10 feet. The Mountville Fire Company chief was participating in a certification course. The last place Paul and his family expected him to end up that day was the Emergency Department at Lancaster General Hospital where trauma surgeons discovered he had no feeling or movement from the chest down.  Read more...
