Behavioral Health

At the Women’s Specialty Center providers work together, focusing on your total health—body and mind. Behavioral Health is closely integrated with our other specialties, offering:

  • Stress management techniques to help women face the demands of a busy life.
  • Interventions to help women cope with chronic health issues like diabetes and heart disease, or adjust to a new health diagnosis such as cancer.
  • Therapies to assist women who are experiencing grief and loss.
  • Help in adjusting to changes in the life cycle: pregnancy, menopause, parenting, moving, transitioning children out of the home, and the ongoing evolution of primary relationships.
  • Cognitive behavioral interventions to address problems with sleep.

Zoe Selhi, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist with LG Health Physicians Behavioral Health. She completed her residency at the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Training Program in Boston. During her last year of training, she focused on the care of women at both Brigham and Women’s and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospitals.

Dr. Selhi incorporates all elements of functioning into her practice by accounting for the biological, social and psychological determinates of mental health. She recognizes the special needs of women as they fulfill their roles as wives, mothers, sisters and daughters, and appreciates the different phases that women face throughout their lifespan.
