Walking Club
Looking for a way to stay physically active?
Consider joining the Lancaster General Health Walking Club
This weekly club meets at the Lancaster General Health Suburban Outpatient Pavilion, 2100 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, every thursday from 9 to 10 a.m.
A wellness educator supervises the program which includes brief periods of walking, strength training and tai chi. Exercises are adapted to meet your fitness level. Walkers can choose to walk outside or inside the Suburban Outpatient Pavilion weather permitting.
In addition to improving your health, you'll meet new friends and have fun exercising. There is no fee and no need to pre-register. Please wear comfortable clothing for exercising.
Regular exercise can help you:
- maintain a healthy weight
- increase muscle mass
- improve flexibility
- relieve arthritis pain
- improve balance and agility
- decrease risk of disease
- improve bone strength
- reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression
