Well and Good 

Lori Good is the Women’s Heart Health Educator for the Lancaster General Health Wellness Center. She has a bachelor of arts degree in communication/journalism and an associates degree in nursing. She is a certified Shapedown Instructor for the Lancaster General Health Healthy Weight Management Center  for children, and a certified lifeskills instructor for Lancaster General Health’s substance abuse prevention program for elementary, middle and high school students.
 

Here is a very good question I heard recently: "I understand that eating fish high in Omega-3 fat is good for the heart. Is it true for all fish?"

The relationship between your weight and your risk of dying of heart disease is complicated. If you are overweight in spite of the fact that you exercise daily and have healthy eating habits, don’t be discouraged. You are still doing your heart good.

Have you or a loved one been told that you have a heart condition? If so, Lancaster General Health invites you to join the Healthy Hearts support group. Healthy Hearts provides support, education, and resources in an informal setting. The next quarterly meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 26 from 6-8:30 p.m.
