Lancaster General Health offers the following services:

Non-Invasive
As a part of determining your cardiac health, The Heart Center at Lancaster General provides advanced diagnostic testing to give you and your doctor the information you need to make informed decisions. The array of non-invasive tests offered at Lancaster General allow our specialized team of experts the opportunity to see how your heart is working when at rest and during physical activity.

Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Lancaster General Health’s Cardiac Cath Lab performs more than 4,500 diagnostic catheterizations and 1,400 interventional procedures annually.  Diagnostic procedures help provide information about your heart and/or lungs and the arteries that provide oxygen and blood to these organs. Interventional procedures are used to correct problems in your heart that are discovered during one of the diagnostic procedures mentioned above.

Electrophysiology Lab
Electrophysiology is the study of the heart’s conduction system and its effect on heart rhythm. The Electrophysiologists (specialized cardiologists) and a team of nurses and technologists work with specialized equipment and catheters to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures on patients who have electrical problems with their heart. Our Electrophysiology and Pacing team represents world class research, blended with hometown compassion and hard work to provide high quality care.

Cardiac Surgery
Our Heart Center is skilled in all aspects of cardiothoracic surgery, including coronary bypass, heart valve repair and replacement and lung surgery, our surgeons have achieved national and international honors for surgical expertise and excellence. Since 1983, more than 16,000 open heart procedures have been performed at the Heart Center. survival rates for open heart surgery procedures here are among the most favorable in the nation.

Cardiac Rehab
The program is an extension of the Lancaster General Heart Center and is certified by The American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Our facility offers an outpatient setting that provides areas that are spacious and comfortable. Our goal is to provide both physical and emotional support during your recovery and afterward, to help you feel better about yourself and to remain positive about your future and the quality of your life.
