EP Internship Program

Electrophysiology is an extremely specialized area of study and our commitment to patient care requires that our technologists are trained to assist physicians in performing the most complex procedures. The Electrophysiology Internship Program was devolved to provide the Lancaster General Health EP Lab with highly trained, clinically proficient employees.

The Program is a 1 year program beginning with 22 weeks of intensive lectures, labs and clinical rotations. After successful completion of a final written examination, the interns work full-time in the lab, acquiring experience while they complete an assortment of required clinical competencies. To date, seven Interns have “graduated” from the program; on average, 2 – 4 technologists complete each year. For more information on the EP Internship Program contact Lisha Esbenshade-Smith.
