Mr. Macina provides executive leadership for Legal & Regulatory matters, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Corporate Compliance, Information Protection & Assurance, the Lancaster General Insurance Company, and oversight of other services necessary for the effective operation of the health system.
He also provides executive leadership for Strategic Planning, Business Development, Marketing, Corporate Communications & Public Relations, and Government Affairs & Grants.
Mr. Macina received his bachelor’s degree in 1976 from Georgetown University, his master’s degree in business administration in 1980 from Bernard M. Baruch College, City University of New York, and his juris doctor degree in 1980 from New York Law School. Mr. Macina was formerly a partner with the law firm of Greenberg Traurig in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., practicing in the area of healthcare law. In this capacity, he represented hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers in strategic, operational, and regulatory transactions. Prior to joining Greenberg, Traurig, Bob was the Director of Legal Affairs for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Inc., where he was responsible for managing the activities of a 13-attorney legal department for the state’s largest health insurer. Bob is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New York, and Florida, and is board-certified in Health Law by the Florida Bar.
