2021 Butterfly Endowment header image

Girlfriends, Glamour & Giving: An Evening in Support of the Butterfly Endowmenthas been postponed to the spring of 2022 to allow for a safer gathering.

Even though we won't be able to enjoy the pleasure of each other's company this year with a social event, the need to raise funds and awareness for the Butterfly Endowment – which is solely funded by community support - is as important as ever.

With your help we can raise the funds needed to support families over the next year with a Match Challenge!

Match Challenge!

We are asking our previous event sponsors to consider a donation to the Butterfly Endowment. In June, we will send an donation appeal to our Butterfly supporters that will inspire them to visit a giving page; the page will highlight the donations made by our generous sponsors - and will encourage them to help us MATCH the donations that are made by YOU — our valued sponsors.

Here are some examples of how your donation can help:

  • “Gift of Time” perinatal palliative care books
  • “Something Happened” books for siblings
  • Stuffed animals for memory boxes
  • A memory box given to parents
  • Small Butterfly boxes for a private burial
  • Molding clay to imprint hands or feet as a special keepsake
  • Assistance to families for funeral expenses

"In the midst of the difficult challenges of this last year, over 400 families at Women and Babies Hospital and Lancaster General Hospital emergency department suffered a pregnancy loss. Due to COVID visitor restrictions, families who experienced loss could not lean on their extended family and friends. The Butterfly funds allow us to be generous with printing pictures and putting the pictures on a CD for each family. The hands and feet molds and memory boxes are a tangible way for grieving parents to share their baby's memory with extended family and friends. These resources for grieving parents, especially for children, have been a lifeline for families.”
