What is the Lancaster General Health Foundation?

The LG Health Foundation connects the passions of donors with patient and health system needs. We build relationships within our community to help to advance health programs and services to save lives and promote wellness.

Is the Foundation tax exempt?

Yes. The Foundation is a 509(a)(3) supporting non-profit organization. The work of the Foundation directly supports Lancaster General Health (a 501(c)3; EIN 23-1365353). All gifts to the Foundation are tax-deductible.

What does the Foundation support?

The Foundation supports the capital needs and various initiatives of Lancaster General Health. Health programs, community benefit initiatives, and cutting edge technology are possible because of charitable contributions to the Foundation.

Can I designate my gift to a specific area?

Yes, designation options are listed on our donation form. Donations that are not designated are also very important to fulfilling our mission: meeting the most urgent needs of the health system; providing the best possible care; and advancing innovative therapies and programs.

Can I make a gift in honor or in memory of someone?

Yes, gifts can be made in memory of or in honor of a loved one or caregiver.

Can I make an anonymous gift?

Yes, your gift will be accepted and your name will remain confidential, if that is your desire.

How can I become involved as a volunteer for Lancaster General Health?

There are several ways to volunteer your time at Lancaster General Health. To find out more about how you can offer your support of time, click here. You can also contact our volunteer office at 717-544-5005.

How can our company, family or community group donate funds from a special event we’ve organized?

Donations from third-party community events, such as golf tournaments and fashion shows, are greatly appreciated. Any individual, business or organization wishing to conduct an event or promotion benefiting Lancaster General Health must receive approval from the Foundation office in advance of any announcement or publicity for the event. The first step is for you to read about our third party event guidelines and submit the fundraising agreement.
