  • 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, Lancaster Country Club:Palliative Improv: How to Have the Difficult Conversation with Your Patientfeatures Kristina B. Newport, M.D., J. Andrew Probolus, M.D., Tom Miller, M.D., Christi Stewart, M.D., Katherine McGeary, M.D., and Beth Horenkamp, M.D., role-playing four scenarios that show the right -- and maybe not so effective -- way to have the difficult conversation with your patient. 

  • Noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 21, Stager Conference Center: “Paging God: Religion in the Halls of Medicine – Tools for Providers and Nurses to Address Spiritual Needs” will be presented by Dr. Wendy Cadge of Brandeis University. Dr. Cadge will identify and indicate scenarios where the chaplain and clinician can work as a team to support patients and families in the decision-making process.

  • 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28, ABBCI:  “Complex Pain Management, Part 2” is the second in a series of case study discussions. The event will discuss approximately four cases. Please email Dr. Paul Conslato, PMConsla@lghealth.org, with suggestions of a patient MRN for the discussion.
