The Edward Hand Medical Heritage Foundation, in cooperation with LancasterHistory.org, will present "50 Years of Lancaster Cardiology: 1965-2015," 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the Lancaster History Campus, 230 N. President Ave.
Speakers include Drs. William McCann, John Slovak, Neil Clark and Mark Burlingame. Dr. Nikitas Zervanos will moderate.
Dr. McCann will discuss the evolution of care from 1965 through his years with Mann, McCann, Gault & Gentzler, subsequently Cardio-Vascular Associates of Lancaster and now The Heart Group of Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine. Drs. Slovak, Clark and Burlingame will discuss interventional care, non-interventional cardiology and the history of open heart surgery in our community, respectively.
