Paul N. Casale, M.D., MPH

Paul N. Casale, M.D., MPH, LG Health/Penn Medicine Chief of Cardiology, will join the senior management team of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital • Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons • Weill Cornell Medical College to lead initiatives in population health.

Dr. Casale will leave LG Health at the end of February.
In his new position, Dr. Casale will develop strategy for expanding value-based payment initiatives across the three organizations, including leadership of the accountable care organization, NewYork Quality Care. He also will lead efforts to improve quality and enhance clinical effectiveness.
Dr. Casale will have faculty appointments at both medical schools, where he will practice clinical cardiology and teach medical students and cardiology fellows.
Dr. Casale, who joined The Heart Group of LG Health/Penn Medicine in 1993, has led the Cardiology Division since 2004. He served as LG Health Medical Director of Quality from 2008 to 2015.
Dr. Casale currently serves on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Physician-Focused Payment Model Technical Advisory Committee.


Michael J. Reihart, D.O., FACEP

Michael J. Reihart, D.O., FACEP, was elected President of the Board of Directors for the American Trauma Society, Pennsylvania Division. Dr. Reihart practices at Lancaster Emergency Associates.
The ATSPA is a nonprofit trauma prevention education organization dedicated to reducing the suffering, disability and death caused by trauma.
“We are very pleased with Dr. Reihart’s selection as board president and are excited to work with him … to continue our mission of providing trauma prevention education throughout Pennsylvania,” CEO Judy May-Bennett said.
