Dr. Nikitas Zervanos moderated the event, which was sponsored by LancasterHistory.org and the Edward Hand Medical Heritage Foundation.

Guests included Gary W. Ghee, the county’s first open-heart patient. Dr. Burlingame and Dr. Lawrence Bonchek performed Ghee’s triple-bypass surgery in 1983.
