William H. Adams, M.D.

As a father of 12 and also a grandparent, Dr. Adams is concerned about the health-care legacy we will leave for generations to come. A member of the LGH Medical & Dental Staff since 1992, he has served in many leadership roles for the past 15 years. These include member of various committees, Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine, Medical Director of the Emergency Department and most recently, Med Staff President-Elect.

As a partner in LEA, an independent practice since 1966, Dr. Adams has learned many lessons in how to effectively negotiate, collaborate and partner with the health system to promote quality and value for patients.

“In light of the LG Health-Penn Medicine relationship and overall health care market changes, I believe the next several years will be critical,” he said. “I am honored to work with each of you to ensure that our health-care legacy will successfully blend our local strengths and community commitment with the resources of a larger health-care system for the good of our patients and families.”
