The Penn Medicine ProviderMatch Program is a new provider profile management tool launching throughout the health system. Updated Find a Doctor profiles will go live on in July.

Providers can quickly and conveniently update their Find a Doctor profiles using ProviderMatch. The program will help optimize search results for provider profiles and better match patients to care.

Employed and independent providers should have received an email from Chief Clinical Officer Michael Ripchinski, M.D., asking them to update their online profile by June 25. This will ensure accurate and up-to-date information reflecting your clinical scope of practice.

It’s most important to update the current Clinical Expertise section in your profile with a more robust listing of Scope of Practice terms. Including the symptoms, conditions, treatments and procedures that describe your clinical focus will help patients and peers find you.

All providers are asked to log in, review and update Scope of Practice terms as needed. If this is not completed by June 25, you will be given a default profile that lists common clinical terms for your specialty.

Providers also may review and update additional profile information using ProviderMatch. Updating your profile should take five to 10 minutes. All updated profiles will be reviewed by an assigned clinical approver.
