Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is providing–and will continue to provide–exceptional care to all of our patients. In an effort to protect you and our staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, we will take a phased approach to ensure safety, and focus on providing in-person care and surgeries when medically necessary.

We may postpone some appointments or procedures when appropriate in an effort to reduce the volumes in our facilities. Some patient appointments will continue as planned, or may be moved to a telemedicine visit.

We will continue to provide updates as we amend our guidelines to allow for additional treatments for more routine conditions. In the meantime, we encourage you to reach out to your healthcare provider to determine your best options, including telemedicine visits, which allow you to receive care with your phone or computer from the comfort and safety or your home.

Practice Visits, Surgeries and Procedures

Our COVID-19 patient volume has stabilized to the point where we are confident we can safely care for all patients—those with COVID-19 and patients needing other types of medical care.

Our waiting rooms, care environments and operating rooms are safe. We have taken extra precautions, including:

  • Rigorously cleaning and disinfecting several times per day, in accordance with infection control guidelines
  • Requiring masks or face coverings for all staff, patients and visitors
  • Maximizing physical distancing in waiting rooms and patient care areas
  • Initiating new processes such as contact-less check-in and check-out

Telemedicine Appointments

For many patients, a phone or video visit is still the most appropriate way to see your LG Health clinician. We are offering virtual visits for a variety of services, certain new patient appointments and follow-up care.

If you would like to schedule a telemedicine appointment and are a current LG Health patient, please call your practice to see if you are eligible to schedule.

Valet Parking

To limit COVID-19 exposure, valet service is currently closed at all LG Health locations. Garage and outdoor parking, drop-offs, shuttle service and patient escorts are still available.
