Our comprehensive Behavioral Health services include a dedicated specialty practice, hospital-based care, and licensed clinical counselors at primary and specialty care locations. We are also in partnership with Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital.

We Offer a Broad Array of Behavioral Health Services Throughout the Community 

Lancaster General Health offers a broad array of behavioral health services with an aim to provide the right care at the right place at the right time. Our team of physicians, counselors, therapists, nurses and other health-care professionals address potentially life-threatening disorders, such as substance use, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and severe depression, along with less debilitating but common conditions, such as anxiety and less severe mood disorders.

  • Integrated behavioral health counselors located at all primary care practices and some specialty care practices throughout the health system, which gives patients the ability to see a counselor at their family doctor office
  • A behavioral health specialty practice that offers psychiatric evaluation, medication management, counseling, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS)
  • Opioid addiction treatment program for patients with substance use disorders through primary care practices throughout the community 
  • Behavioral health evaluation area in the Emergency Department at Lancaster General Hospital for assessment of acute behavioral health crisis
  • Behavioral health intervention team that provides 24/7 behavioral health assessment, intervention and referral resources for hospitalized patients at Lancaster General Hospital, Women & Babies Hospital and in the emergency department
  • Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital, an inpatient facility offering treatment for adolescents and adults in partnership with Universal Health Services, Inc.
  • Counseling services provided to students through the wellness center at Franklin & Marshall College
