LG Health and Safe Kids Lancaster County urges parents and caregivers to ensure child safety seats are properly installed in their vehicles. Seven out of 10 car seats are installed incorrectly, and every 33 seconds, one child under the age of 13 is involved in a crash. When used properly, child safety seats can reduce the risk of death by as much as 71 percent.
On Saturday, September 23rd, as part of National Seat Check Saturday, LG Health and Safe Kids Lancaster County will host free events at locations throughout Lancaster County. Certified child passenger safety technicians will be available to answer questions and provide hands-on instruction on proper installation and use of car seats.
