Let’s Talk, Lancaster, a United Way Collective Impact Partnership facilitated by Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, is working to improve the mental health and well-being of the Lancaster County community. In 2018, Let’s Talk is working to increase awareness of local resources that can help with non-crisis behavioral health concerns by promoting Pennsylvania 2-1-1 East.
PA 2-1-1 is a free, confidential, non-emergency, comprehensive information and referral service that connects Lancaster County residents with the health and human services they need. The service provides contacts to behavioral health and social service organizations that offer help with anything from hunger to homelessness to heating bills.
After answering a few questions pertaining to immediate needs, a PA 2-1-1 representative will navigate callers to available resources. Community members seeking services can also visit pa211east.org/Lancaster, to view a list of resources organized by county.
Recently, 2-1-1 has also expanded its offerings to accept text requests. To use the text service, send your ZIP code to 898211.

The PA 2-1-1 line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. PA 2-1-1 is not intended for emergency use. If you have an emergency, call 9-1-1.
