Ethel Wander, LG Health HealthyWoman Program Coordinator, manages screening and follow-up care for women in the program. This care and coordination involves the scheduling of mammography and any follow-up services. On Oct. 18, Ethel was recognized by the PA Commission for Women and the Family Health Council for providing the most HealthyWoman Program services to un/underinsured women in Central Pennsylvania.

Women who are diagnosed with cancer may be eligible for services through the breast and cervical cancer screening (BCCPT) program. The BCCPT Program is administered by the Department of Health and the Department of Human Services and provides full healthcare benefits to women needing treatment for breast or cervical cancer, or a pre-cancerous condition of the breast or cervix.

Since 2002, more than 3,000 women have received screening and diagnostic services through the HealthyWoman Program.
