On Friday, Dec. 8, Lancaster General Health and the American Heart Association dedicated new bike racks at King Elementary School and Buehrle Alternative School in Lancaster City, to encourage students and staff to bike to school.
The American Heart Association and Lancaster General Health dedicate a new bike rack at King Elementary School in Lancaster City.
The installation of the bike racks is part of an ongoing collaboration between the organizations to encourage active transportation in Lancaster City and provide healthy tools and educational opportunities to local students.
The collaboration between LG Health and the American Heart Association has also included installing bicycle repair stations across Lancaster County, serving as the platform sponsor of the Lancaster Heart Walk and supporting Teaching Gardens for schools and organizations across the county.
