In recognition of Lancaster General Hospital’s 125 years of serving the community, Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health will host a free family-friendly 125th Anniversary Community Celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Suburban Pavilion on the corner of Rohrerstown Road and Harrisburg Pike. Free parking is available on site.
 
Community members of all ages will have the opportunity to participate in various interactive displays and activities, including:

  • Learn about cancer breakthroughs

  • Understand the facts about cancer genetics testing

  • Boost your brain with superfoods

  • Discover new tech tools to manage diabetes

  • Recognize triggers for migraines

  • Understand the risks of vaping

  • Find out how to catch diabetic retinopathy in its early stages

  • See how heart tools and devices have changed through the years

  • Browse our historical timeline and artifacts including an iron lung

  • Have your photo added to a digital mural



Just for kids!

  • Walk through a giant, inflatable human body

  • Get active with soccer drills

  • Dress up for the selfie station

  • Build strong bones with healthy food tips

  • Create a healthy snack

  • Learn about hand hygiene

  • The first 1,000 kids (ages 10 and under) will receive a mini soccer ball.
