Lancaster County Joining Forces is a collection of organizations and individuals who want to save lives and help those struggling with addiction. A partnership between Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, community groups, government, coalitions, and tasks forces, Joining Forces works together to strategically reduce the number of deaths from opioid addiction in Lancaster County. Joining Forces unifies and strengthens the work these organizations are doing separately, while providing an opportunity to identify gaps in services and treatments, to ultimately save more lives together.
On Friday, April 5 at 7:30 a.m., Lancaster County Joining Forces will host a community forum at Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences in Lancaster, to update the community on the coordination of efforts in Lancaster County to address the opioid crisis.
The event is open to businesses, faith-based and community organizations, schools, and concerned citizens.
The forum will include remarks from County Commissioner, Joshua Parsons, an update on goals and data from Brenda Buescher, LG Health Health Promotion Specialist and updates on community groups and challenges from Christine Glover, Community Mobilizer, CompassMark.
