Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health will close its two community COVID-19 testing sites on Sundays, beginning April 26. The testing sites at the PA College of Health Sciences and Clipper Magazine Stadium will continue operating Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The closing is due to low demand on Sundays.
Individuals that are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, cough, fever or shortness of breath, and may require a test on a Sunday, should call one of LG Health's seven urgent care locations throughout Lancaster County, Southern Lebanon County and Western Chester County to request a test.
LG Health COVID-19 testing site information and hours of operation are available here.
The Donation and Materials Center to Adjust Operating Hours
The LG Health community drive-through COVID-19 Donation and Materials Center at Clipper Magazine Stadium will adjust operating hours to Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The operating hours are effective Sunday, April 26. Click here for more information about the Donation and Materials Center.
Clipper Stadium Testing Site
Unlike the LG Health drive-through testing site at the Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences, the new site allows individuals to walk up to the tent for COVID-19 testing. This site will provide testing for individuals who have received a test order by a health-care provider, including a video visit via Penn Medicine OnDemand.
Individuals who do not have a health-care provider with LG Health or UPMC will be screened at the site, and if appropriate, COVID-19 testing will be performed. While registration and insurance information is collected at the testing site, no out-of-pocket costs are required.
The site is a partnership between LG Health and UPMC. Staffing, supplies and IT infrastructure were funded by each partner for their portion of the site set-up.
PA College Testing Site
Pediatric testing is now available at the PA College testing site for children ages 2 and older. Also, the hours of operation at the testing site changed recently to 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The change in hours responded to the actual level of testing demand at the site. LG Health has tested more than 1,500 people since opening the testing site at 850 Greenfield Road, Lancaster.
