Lancaster General Health Comprehensive Care, 554 N. Duke St., third floor, now offers free, confidential STD testing at a walk-in clinic 4:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays. No appointment is needed.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, there are nearly 20 million new cases of STDs each year in the United States. Getting tested is an important step in maintaining your health and protecting your partner. Any individual who is sexually active is at risk for STDs. Many STDs do not have symptoms but can result in serious health issues if left untreated.

Free STD Testing Includes:

  • Syphilis
  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhea
  • Hepatitis
  • HIV

Who Should Get Tested?

  • All sexually active women younger than 25 should be tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia every year
  • Women 25 and older with risk factors such as new or multiple partners should be tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia every year
  • All pregnant women should be tested during early pregnancy
  • All sexually active gay and bisexual men should be tested once a year for syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea
