Guests are encouraged to park in the James Street Parking Garage which provides easy access to the James Street Lobby (1st floor), the hospital’s main entrance, and Stager Conference Center, located on the ground floor level.
Patients and visitors who choose to park on the streets surrounding Lancaster General Hospital should pay careful attention to posted signs. Many of the areas around the hospital are no parking zones or restricted to residents who have parking permits. The Lancaster Parking Authority enforces parking regulations in the area 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Patients and visitors who park in a restricted area will ticketed.
James Street (Parking Garage A)
Hourly: $1.50 per hour with a maximum of $9.00 per day.
- If you exit the garage after paying the maximum and need to return, you will be issued a receipt showing you paid for the day.
7-Day Pass: $18. This pass allows unlimited access to the garage between 5 am and 9 pm daily.

Lime Street (Parking Garage B)
The Lime Street Parking Lot is available only for orthopedic patients on the day of surgery, and those patients scheduled for MRI, endoscopy or a radiology procedure. All other patients, please park in the James Street Parking Garage.
Emergency Department (Parking Garage E)
The Emergency Department Parking Garage is accessible from N. Duke Street, adjacent to the Emergency Department entrance.
All patients being treated at Lancaster General Hospital are entitled to free parking and should have their parking tickets validated in the department where they are being treated.
