I am an oncologic surgeon specializing in breast surgery. Since 2007, I have been recognized as a Best Doctor in America and a Top Doctor.
Prior to joining Lancaster General Health, I practiced as a breast surgeon for the Geisinger Clinic, Lehigh Valley Health Network, and Sentara Healthcare (in Virginia), serving as a physician leader at the latter two organizations.
While at Lehigh Valley Health Network I was the director of the breast surgical oncology fellowship program, and I have held clinical teaching appointments at Sidney Kimmel Medical College—Thomas Jefferson University, Penn State College of Medicine, University of South Florida School of Medicine, and Eastern Virginia Medical School.
I have been involved in research on sentinel lymph node biopsy, accelerated partial breast irradiation, and cryoablation for breast cancer. I have been an author of more than two dozen papers, book chapters, and abstracts and I have had the opportunity to present at the annual meetings of the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons. I am a surveyor for cancer and breast cancer program accreditation for the Commission on Cancer and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers; in addition, I am a frequent lecturer for the Commission on Cancer.
I am a member of the American College of Physician Executives and received my MBA from the Isenberg School of Management of the University of Massachusetts.
