I was born and raised in Lancaster County and feel honored to serve this community. I am board certified in internal medicine by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. I am also board certified in cardiovascular medicine, with sub-specialty board certifications in adult echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. I am certified in clinical lipidology by the American Board of Clinical Lipidology and proudly serve in the Preventive Cardiology and Lipid Apheresis clinic at The Heart Group where I treat metabolic and genetic cholesterol issues via nutrition counseling and drug therapy. I strongly advocate for whole-food and plant-based nutrition and am an active member of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), as well as the Nutrition Workgroups with the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the National Lipid Association (NLA). I have provided a multitude of lectures that cover various topics in nutritional science as they relate to cardiovascular disease and other chronic disease states.
